Preamble Institute

Mission

The mission of the Preamble Institute is to remind Americans why America is an exceptional country and culture, which promotes the greatest freedom and personal liberty in the history of the world.  America was founded by a diverse group of people.  They represented different views of religion, different cultural backgrounds, some seeking liberty and some deported to America as criminals.  Some were slave holders and some were fundamentally opposed to slavery.

The most unique aspect of America’s founding was it’s ability to start with a “blank page”.  When the Europeans first arrived in America there was no predefined culture to follow.  So, in effect, they were able to use their diverse historical and cultural backgrounds as a foundation for the new American experience.

Some of the conclusions they set forth:

  • Leadership comes from the people not a King
  • People should live free
  • The Church should be free from the state
  • Eliminate a class system as all people are created equal

By reminding American students of these issues we will continue on a path of prosperity and freedom for generations to come.

Preamble Institute will utilize several programs to accomplish this task.  Initially, the focus will be to work in the educational environment to promote the study of the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence.  In the future, promotion of Independence Day and Constitution Day will be the focus.  Another project will consider how an economic model affects the “ Pursuit of Happiness.
